Urban Gospel News, a division of 4LIFE Media, is a syndicate media company
currently partnering with Purpose Magazine and Keeping Family First. In response
to the request of its young readers and youth coorespondents, Urban Gospel News
on-line magazine was birthed on Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2005.
Urban Gospel News is dedicated to youth, written by youth and supported by
youth. Our mission is to revolutionize the publishing, communications and media
industries by raising a moral standard through messages that build up young
people and inspire them to live their purpose. Our goal is to see God revealed,
schools revived and young lives restored back to Jesus.
Urban Gospel News has a powerful voice and unique niche because it consists of a
consortium of youth correspondents, determined to take His light outside the four
walls of the church.
We are currently building a team of youth correspondents from the nation’s top ten geographic
markets. These cities include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston,
Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, Dallas, San Antonio, and Detroit.
We are always looking for saved and internet savvy young people to contribute
monthly content. Youth correspondents should possess the following qualities and
characteristics:
* age 15-24;
* born again believer;
* energetic and on fire for God
* active in their local congregation/youth ministry;
* if in school, have at least a 3.0 grade point average;
* excellent communication skills (verbal and writing); and
* excellent relationship with parent/guardian
They will be given an opportunity to:
- * have their voices heard across the nation regarding today’s music, movies,
- news, and entertainment;
* provide insight to what challenges they face as a young Christian in today’s
society;
* attend youth conferences for “on the spot” interviews;
* and meet nationally known and respected pastors, teachers, artist, leaders, etc.
